The NOC has listed a few hotels from which the delegates may choose. Since September in Beijing is a peak tourist season and the hotels are often fully booked, delegates must submit their hotel reservation forms to the official agency, China International Travel Service, before 30 June 2004.

Under no circumstances can the General Secretariat of the ISSA or the National Organizing Committee assume responsibility for hotel reservations.

Registration of delegates will take place at the China World Hotel between 10 am and 4 pm on Sunday, 12 September. Delegates are reminded that they must bring with them the participant's card that will be sent to them in advance by the ISSA General Secretariat.
The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, 12 September at 4.30 pm. For this occasion, delegates are requested to be present at the Conference Hall by 4 pm and to show their official invitation, which will be provided to them upon registration.
Documentation will be available in English, French, Spanish and German. During the meetings, simultaneous interpretation will be provided into English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Chinese and Russian. If you have any request for interpretation services for other languages, please contact the Secretariat of the NOC before 31 March 2004.
In principle, all visitors travelling to China must hold a valid passport and a visa, except for nationals of certain countries which have bilateral agreements with China on mutual exemption from entry visas. Delegates are requested to contact the appropriate Chinese diplomatic missions in their country to obtain the necessary information concerning current requirements with regard to passports and visas.

Based on the duly received information, the Chinese Ministry of Labour and Social Security will coordinate with the relevant Chinese Embassy or Consular Office to facilitate the issuance of visas. Those delegates from countries which do not have Chinese diplomatic missions or have not yet established diplomatic relations with China should in principle apply for a visa in the nearest country where there is a Chinese diplomatic mission.

Delegates are also strongly advised to make the necessary arrangements concerning passports and visas as early as possible in order to avoid last-minute problems. The ISSA General Secretariat cannot intervene in this respect.
